Where there is no Struggle, there is no Strength...

The season has officially begun for me! I just found out late last night that I have been accepted into the Symetra Tour event in Lake Wales, Florida next week! With registration on Tuesday March 18th, I was busy typing away searching for the lowest airfares, accommodations and car rentals.  It had been quite the evening with planning but I have made the final arrangements and will be on my outbound flight to Orlando on Monday, March 17th!  Its all coming so fast as I have been working hard on my game and have been preparing for an event knowing that I would find out last minute.  I am really looking forward to play this event  and play with confidence.  It has been a busy couple of months getting myself organized for the 2014 season, and here it is!!!  I have been working hard on my Rally, acquiring sponsors and especially on my game.  I am so blessed to have people support me as I take on my biggest challenge on the Road to the LPGA.

With preparation for tournament play comes determination and competition.  Having found out about a local professional golf tour, I have been keeping up with my competitive game focus by competing against the local professionals.  The Vancouver Golf Tour has allowed me to keep this game up by competing as the lone female amongst an all male professional field!!! At first I was a little intimidated of the competition, but luckily I am able to play 10% of the tees that the men play to make the playing field a little more even.  The courses that I have competed on are Swan-E-Set Country Club, Belmont Golf Course, Pagoda Ridge Golf Course and Hazelmere Golf Course.  Each of these courses have been unique amongst each other in which I have had to make strategic decisions although I have not actually played on three of the four courses.  I find that competing on these local tours have encouraged me to keep my game at a competitive level and is very beneficial to my up and coming season!

It’s time to kick BUTT!  I am really really looking forward to this season as I feel that the time and preparation I have putt into my game will show.  Here’s to a good year :D
