Don't rush and never settle. If it's meant to be, it will be.

It has been one of those weeks where I have been so busy and haven't even had the time of day to sit down and write this blog!!!! I apologize to those who have been following, but I have great news!

I wanted to start off by how I feel and I couldn't be more blessed to be where I am today.  About two  weeks ago when the snow accumulation was at about two feet I had the opportunity to practice at the new state-of-the-art indoor golf facility here in Richmond.  As soon as I had walked through the doors I found myself in love with the environment and everything it had to offer.  They have an indoor putting and chipping facility, 2 simulators in a hitting mat area and top of the line technology including a SAM Putt Lab (Science and Motion), Foresight Simulators and a High Definition Camera for video recording. At this point I could say with confidence that I was at the right place at the right time.  The owners and founders of the Pacific Golf Academy (David Bolton and Daryl Stubbs) offered me the opportunity to earn my money rather than donating as I fund for my 2014 Pro Tour Season.

They offered me a position to be part of the team to be a Professional Teaching Instructor at the Pacific Golf Academy!!!!!

At this point in my life, I firmly believe in that things happen for a reason and I can attest to it.  I have never felt so happy with the way things have come together in a looooong time.  To say the least, I feel that I am in a very good place with how things are working out.
Last week, I had the opportunity to share the story of my journey through golf which has brought me to where I am today.  My grade twelve Human Services teacher (Mrs. Simonson) had insisted that I share my story in order to somehow inspire her students.  I could tell by the reactions of students as I gave my powerpoint presentation that I was just another guest speaker.  In order to gain their attention and participation I had them ask me questions at the end.  I was surprised by some of the questions that they asked, for example, "Why did you pick golf? It's such a random sport!"
.... It took me about 5 minutes to really think about how and why I got into the sport in the first place!

In terms of sponsors, I have just signed with FILA Golf China!  I am so thankful that these companies have been eager to have me represent their company!  I am really looking forward to wearing the new gear... I could even post pictures with me in the clothes :)
